Firstly, a very warm welcome to my site.

I started drawing before I started school. Back in the day, all my mother had to do to keep me entertained was to buy me a sketch pad! After a chequered technical career, which included working as an avionics engineer and running my own home automation business, I finally achieved my dream of working as an artist. My office is now an art studio!

My art is highly detailed and accurate, however, I do use some artistic licence, especially if I want to evoke the tranquillity of a bygone era. My subjects are varied, but my real passion lies in beautiful, characterful architecture which has a story all of its own to tell.

I’m completely self-taught, so consider my work to be fairly unique.

  • I commissioned Colin to draw a dilapidated farmhouse, which I was in the process of restoring. The result was a highly detailed, accurate representation showing all the cracks and rotten window frames! The property has now been fully renovated and Colin’s drawing hangs in my office. It’s a great reminder of our journey from purchasing a partial ruin to creating our dream home.
